I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification, and working as an AVP in an international bank located at Canary Wharf, London. I completed my ACA qualification in India and was working with a Big 4 audit firm in Mumbai before relocating to London in Sep-09 to pursue a Masters degree in Investment Management. After my qualification I landed the role that I am still in. I am ambitious but not in the cut-throat manner. In fact, I prefer working in a competitive yet friendly environment and detest unnecessary office politics or of any other kind.

I am not the kind of person that can really talk about myself, but I'll try anyway! I am friendly, funny, fiercely loyal, energetic, occasionally prone to laziness, and have a good sense of humour - in other words, just another typical Leo! A few people fit their zodiac description really well, and I happen to be one of them. That includes the good, and unfortunately the not-so-good aspects as well.

I love listening to music,... more reading, watching TV (to some extent), movies, travelling and shopping - not necessarily in that order. I love music that comes with either a really good beat, or very good lyrics. I mostly listen to international songs, very little Indipop, and almost no other kind of music. Pray that you never have the misfortune of hearing me sing, I'm really really horrible at it, though I tend to hum along to the songs I listen to. I read fiction, mostly thrillers, and when I read a book, I am completely immersed in the storyline and lose all track of time. I love dancing, even though I'm not too good at it, and love to spend time with friends and family. I wish to travel all over the world, and see all these amazing places that are out there, and until recently had never travelled alone. Now that I've got that experience under my belt, I know that I can do it, but I'd much rather travel in the company of like-minded people.

I am not always able to initiate a conversation, but I suppose the English weather is always a good place to start one! Once I'm familiar with a person, and I get along with them, I am fairly talkative.

I am not a particularly religious person, but not an atheist either. I love most festivals for the celebrations and meeting all close family and friends, rather than the religious aspects of it. Particularly Ganesh Chaturthi gets me very excited as we've been celebrating it with gusto ever since I can remember. I do believe in God but not in fate/destiny/luck. In fact, my favourite quote is 'You make your own destiny'. If you are curious to know the source, I'm happy to explain where that comes from.
