Ours is a cosmopolitan South Indian Brahmin family and does not have an orthodox outlook, at the same time, we value our traditions and follow what is logically possible. We have been well-settled in Delhi for 35 years. My husband is a Chemical Engineer and owns an enterprise, which is an Industrial Water treatment company. He has been running it for nearly 20 years now. He is an Iyer and I am Deshasth Madhwa- a homemaker. He is the youngest of seven siblings and I have one younger sibling. Our extended family lives in Madras, Bombay and Pune.
