I was born and raised in Tamil Nadu, India, where I completed my schooling and B.E. degree before pursuing my M.Tech at DIAT (DU) in Maharashtra, followed by a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering at IIT Bombay. Currently, I work as a Researcher in the Research & Development Group at Hitachi Ltd. in Japan. Outside of work, I enjoy playing sports, practicing yoga, and going on hikes. I am an atheist and place more trust in science than in gods or religion. However, I occasionally visit temples and monasteries for social gatherings.
I come from a family of four, including my younger brother, mother, and father. My father retired as a Sub-Divisional Officer from BSNL (PSU), while my mother is a homemaker. I am fluent in Tamil, English, and Hindi. Religion and caste have never been significant factors in our family, and personally, I prefer not to follow any particular religion.
Since I am not living in one of the desired English-speaking
... more countries, here are a few things about Japan: It is widely considered the safest country in the world. I have never experienced any form of racism since moving here. While I do not speak Japanese fluently (only basic sentences), it has not been an issue in my day-to-day life or work. However, learning the language does make a difference, so I am actively studying Japanese. I am on a work visa and have the option to obtain permanent residence if needed. Currently, I am here because of my work and appreciation for a tolerant society with no discrimination based on religion or caste. Depending on family and work circumstances in the future, I will consider moving elsewhere.
