Dear Shaadi.com, Congratulations on yet another success story. As a member I used to read all the ones you posted and always wondered when my Prince Charming would come for me. Thanks to you, my dream has come true. I met my husband on your website in March (2005). We talked and like what we saw. However, arranging a meeting was a problem, as in all long distance relationships. Finally, he came from Seattle to meet me in Vancouver. He says that it was love at first sight. I still blush at his comment! After taking the time to know one another, we got the two families involved. The engagement took place in August and we got married on Dec 31, 2005. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. Also, I want to ask everyone in search of a partner to keep up the motivation. Love could be just around the corner, as in our case. To all the staff that work behind the scene. First of all, I would like to thank all the shaadi.com team and express my sincere gratitude in helping me finding my fiance, Aparna, from Mumbai. I first saw her profile on 23rd November and initiated the contact. She responded immediately. Since I am in London and she was in Mumbai, we exchanged emails at first and then chatted as well as called each other. After reaching a comfort level, we decided to meet when I was going to be in Mumbai during my Christmas holidays. In Mumbai we met and immediately felt that we were made for each other. I proposed to her and she accepted. Then came the family part and we decided to go the traditional way. My parents met her and they readily agreed of her. So did her brother and her mom. As I was in Mumbai for a short duration, we decided to get engaged before I returned to London, and so we got engaged on 7th January 2006. We are getting married on 30th April 2006 in Mumbai. It was only because of shaadi.com that I was able to meet her. Me and Aparna, both wish to thank the shaadi.com team for helping us in meeting each other. We wish a very big success to the shaadi.com team. I have already recommended the website to all my friends and would recommend it to many more. We would like to thank shaadi.com a lots for helping us find each other. It all started in August, 2003 when I initiated a contact to Bhoomika. I am in U.S. and she's in India. I sent her a brief message and she responded back. We exchanged emails for few months to get to know each other. I was dying to hear her voice. Finally the day came and she provided me with her number (an expensive call as she's in India haha...) and I immediately called her w/o wasting any more seconds. She responded like a small kid in cute and sober voice. After that we frequently kept in contact via emails and frequent phone calls. I liked her very much but wasn't able to tell her. In december she said you like me don't you and I said well...ya. I proposed her and she said yes. My parents went to India the following year and met herself- and her parents and e'thing worked out well. Our engagement got fixed for December,2005. I went to India in December along with my parents. It was a great feeling to meet her after waiting for almost 2 and 1/2 years. It was the first time we had met. Well..and we got engaged on out pre-determined date and spend very good time together that would last in our memory forever. Oct. 1, 2005 was our first contact with each other when I sent a request to Amber to have a look at my profile. She says that my profile lit a spark in her. We both knew what we were looking for and from the info. on our profiles, it seemed we had some promising potential. Amber accepted my contact and so our communication began. We started with the email basics, covering our values, lifestyles, preferences, interests, goals, personalities, beliefs, and of course lots of pictures. We then quickly moved into phone conversations that sometimes went all night and into the day. There was so much common ground between us.
