How do I gift a Shaadi.com Membership?
To gift a premium membership:
Visit the 'Gift A Membership' page
Select the type of membership and payment mode
Enter your details and details of the person to whom you wish to gift the membership and make the payment.
The gifted membership will then be sent by email to the receiver at his/her email address on the scheduled date subject to order activation.
Can I gift a Shaadi.com membership to someone who is not on Shaadi.com?
Yes you can. A Shaadi.com gift membership can be gifted to anyone. To redeem the gift, the receiver will be asked to login/register on Shaadi.com and then redeem the Shaadi.com gift.
Do I need to be a Shaadi.com member to gift a Shaadi.com membership?
No you don't need to be a member of Shaadi.com to give a Shaadi.com gift. Only the receiver needs to be a member to enjoy the benefits of the gifted membership.
Do I need to provide any profile details of the person I am gifting to?
No you don't need to provide any profile details except email-id of the receiver as the gift details would be sent on the receiver's email-id. Sometimes we might even provide the option of sending the gift by courier; in this case you will have to provide the address details of the receiver.
Do I activate the gift membership or the receiver activates it?
The receiver would activate the gift membership. This is done so that the receiver can use the services of the gift membership at his/her convenience. However the prepaid code will be sent to you also for reference.
How will my gift membership be sent?
The gift membership would be sent to the receiver in an email. This email will contain the gift details, message and the prepaid code which the receiver will have to enter on Shaadi.com to activate the membership and use Shaadi.com services.
Can I send a message with the gift?
Yes, you can send your message with the gift. Just type your message in 'Your Message' box while entering receiver's details. Your message will be sent in the email along with the prepaid code.
Can I have the email to be sent on a particular date?
Yes you can. You simply need to set the Email date while entering the receiver's details. The email will be delivered on the specified date, subject to order activation.
What all memberships can I gift to someone?

How do I know that the email with the prepaid code has been sent?
Confirmation through email would be sent to you after the Shaadi.com gift email has been sent to the receiver.
Is payment through credit card for gifts on Shaadi.com secure?
Yes 100% Secure. We follow the same protocol for payment everywhere on Shaadi.com website. Your credit card information is entered on a Secure Server using SSL Technology and 128 Bit Encryption which is one of the highest level of security provided by websites. The information is transmitted in an encrypted fashion to our payment gateway and your card is charged online. Finally, to provide the highest level of security, we do not store your credit card information on our online server at any time.
What is the difference between Gift Order activation and Gift Membership activation? Order activation - When your payment is processed successfully we term it as 'Order Activation'. It doesn't mean that the membership that you have gifted is also activated.
Membership Activation - When the receiver redeems the gift by entering the prepaid code then his/her gift membership gets activated.
e.g. If you have successfully paid and gifted a platinum membership (12 months) on 1st August, 2009 then your order will get activated on 1st August, 2009.
Receiver redeems the membership on 15th August, 2009. His platinum membership would get then get activated on 15th August, 2009 and expire on 15th August, 2010.
I have by mistake specified a wrong email address of the receiver, what do I do now?
In this case we would be able to help you only if the gift membership has not been redeemed on Shaadi.com. Contact our customer care immediately and they would try to help in the best possible way.
The receiver hasn't received the gift membership yet, what should I do?
This could be because of the following most probable reasons:
Your payment hasn't been received
Your order is not activated yet
If you have made the payment then be patient. We would be processing the order
You had specified a wrong email address of the receiver (You would know this in the confirmation mail you receive from Shaadi.com with your Order Id in subject line e.g. Shaadi.com Order ID G125290904613)
In this case contact our customer care immediately
Do I have to redeem my gift on the same day of receiving it to enjoy maximum days of membership validity?
Your membership gets activated only on the day you redeem it. e.g. If you have received a Shaadi.com Gold Membership (3 months) as a gift on 1st August, 2009 but you redeem it on 15th August, 2009 then your membership would get activated only on 15th August, 2009 and be valid until 15th Novemeber, 2009. Can I exchange the Gift membership I have received for any other membership on Shaadi.com?
No, you can't do this. However you can contact our customer care and they would try to help you in the best possible way.
Can I get the money of the gift membership if I don't want to use Shaadi.com services?
No, you can't do this. Your membership has already been paid for by the sender and it cannot be refunded to you.
The prepaid code I received is not working, what should I do?
Every prepaid code has a validity period mentioned in the email. Check the email and see if the prepaid code is still valid else contact our customer care.
I have received a gift Shaadi.com membership in email as well as by post/courier, which one of them is right?
Both the email and courier/post if from the same sender will most probably have the same prepaid code. In case they don't match then you must have received two different Shaadi.com memberships or same membership from two different senders.
You would have to redeem each of them as per your convenience e.g. redeem one gift membership first and then redeem the other whenever you wish.
I have received the same membership from 2 different senders, what should I do?
In this case we advise you to activate only 1 membership at a time. Once that expires you can activate the other.
I have my profile on Shaadi.com but it is currently on hold. Can I still redeem my gift membership and use Shaadi.com services?
Unfortunately you cannot redeem your gift membership until your profile is successfully screened. Please make the suggested changes to your profile and it would get screened within 24 hours after which you can redeem your gift.
